And then they sent the owner’s wife!!! She came again and just asked me to paint it back to white, and if the new renter wants colours he can paint and repaint white when he leaves?!! What the heck? The new renter told me he liked the colours and wanted to keep them! I clearly told the new renter he’d have to paint it back to white when he leaves. This is freaking stupid. I told the lady it wasn’t like a new lease… I was leaving and had done a “cessation de bail” which meant someone else was just continuing on with my lease in a new name. It’s not like a totally new lease with a totally new renter! So he’s allowed to keep my colours until he leaves. Then she said then we’ll just put in the rules that any painting is not allowed. And I said fine, do that, I’m leaving now anyways, it’s not my problem anymore. I said if you don’t want to deal with paint issues, then that will make it clear. Because the rules now are not clear.
