I bought a lottery ticket today! I NEVER buy any. But I dream of winning a million dollars. How is that going to happen if I don’t play?! So I thought I’d give it a shot, once. Let’s hope I’m lucky and my numbers come up in the Friday draw! I know my chances are slim though, 1 in 62 891 499 for the jackpot.
I woke up at 10h. I thought… I should shower, get the day started on the right foot. But now it’s 12h43 and I still haven’t showered, and I’m still sitting here in my pyjama. I keep going to the bathroom, I see the shower, I turn around, and I find something else to do. I booked a few appointments, I emailed Uni, I folded laundry, I called mom, etc. I don’t know why I just don’t feel like taking my pyjama off. I’m so comfortable right now. But I have to go outside, to go buy my new bus pass and a cell phone card. So I have to shower eventually. Grrr!

Les courriel restent sans réponse. Tu te lasses du téléphone puisque jusqu’à maintenant c’est toujours toi qui faisait l’effort de décrocher le combiné et composer le numéro, et en plus tu as peur de déranger.
Comment deux individus qui ont passé de beaux moments entre amis (ok, aussi entre amoureux) peuvent-ils devenir si étrangers. Ces moments me manquent beaucoup. Je veux simplement retrouver mon ami. La personne avec qui j’avais du plaisir à partager les moments simples de la vie, comme écouter un film, manger un met cuisiné maison ou simplement jaser de tout et de rien.
D’habitude ça va, mais ce soir j’ai un petit peu le coeur gros. Et je voulais vider le trop plein avant de tenter un dodo.
I waited too long to buy my Snow Patrol ticket. Yep, the British band will be back in Montreal on March 30th for a gig at the Metropolis, but it’s sold out! It sucks! I so want to go!! Anyone out there with an extra ticket to get rid of?
Also in March there’s the Bloc Party gig. I’ve got my ticket for that one thankfully! I’m glad Spring/Summer is coming back, so are concerts! The Winter season was really dead.
Also, the neat iTunes plugin told me Youth Group will be playing on April 4th, but can’t find information anywhere. And Arcade Fire in May. I don’t want to miss the sale of these tickets!
It’d odd that a cop was taking the bus… I like cops. They are often really good looking. And the uniform. Mmm.
An odd placement for a political/election ad… These ads are really popping up everywhere. From my living room window I can see 4 signs.
I’m looking for a job. I’ve sent out many CV+letters. I’ve gone to a few interviews. But nothing has come out of it all. My ideal job is:
-Some work that is not on the telephone, involving concrete work, something I can actually do.
-Not too many hours, ideally 16h a week, 2 days.
-Good pay for a student job, definitely higher than minimum salary, equal or more than my (mostly) Summer job.
It’s not asking for too much, right? So, why can’t I find it?!
The day after the race my leg muscles are in pain! So are my abs! OUCH! Who knew running could hit you so hard if you aren’t 100% ready?
I have homework to do but I feel like being lazy and watching tele.
I received an invitation from one of my aunt’s on my dad’s side. About a year ago my grandparents died from their old age, one a few days after the other. My aunt is organizing an anniversary mass and a brunch at her house afterwards. I am thinking about going. And I’ll ask my brother if he wants to come too. I haven’t been there in years, I haven’t seen my dad’s side of the family for so long!
This morning my alarm clock goes off at 5h55! It’s the big day! I had trouble waking up… Felt like sleeping some more! But I showered, ate brekky, got dressed and headed out!
I arrived at the Carrefour and there were already many runners there! Everyone getting ready, stretching, preparing for the 5 kilometers! At 8h30 the race started. But I didn’t start. Because we were divided by approx running time, the quickest people in front, the slowest in the back. So it took a while before I was off!
The 1st kilometer went fine! Then I got tired a bit! I would do running/bit of fast walking (and taking a drink of water)/running/etc. At the 3rd kilometer I got some weird thing in my throat. In French we say “avoir un chat dans la gorge”. Something there, even if you cough it doesn’t go away! Grr! The 4th kilometer I was happy! Only 1 more to go! I can do this! I didn’t mind my time, my goal was to participate and do it for myself. I also liked my music selection on my iPod, especially songs I could sing along to while running. I didn’t care how I sounded, it helped motivate me!
Along the way I enjoyed seeing my city! I ran in some places I’d never seen before. Like the upper levels at the CDP, wow! So pretty! And I didn’t know we had a piece of the Berlin Wall in Montreal! I’ll definitely have to go back there someday with my camera.
Finally I arrived at the Complexe Desjardins! The finish line! YAY!
654 on 674 runners, total time 41:21.7, pace 8:17, 78 on 82 in my category of age (women 20-29) and 243 on 257 women. All of the results here.
I was tired. I had to stand in line to get my tshirt/participation certificate. I ate a bit of the apple they gave us but it made me want to throw up! Wait, wait, wait in line. Too tired! I decided to go sit. A few minutes later I felt better! I got my blue tshirt, my participation certificate and my little drinking thingy. Nice souvenirs!
After that I changed. And I drank a chocolate milk they were handing out. Mmmmm! It was so delicious! Cold, tasty, chocolaty, mmm! I could feel it giving me well-needed energy!
I waited a bit for the medals presentation but apparently they were having technical problems compiling all of the results, so it was delayed. I decided to come home!
In the metro I was freezing. I put my scarf and coat. A minute later I was so hot! Really weird how my body temperature kept fluctuating after the race.
Home, bath, comfy clothes, slippers, and what’s on the program for the rest of my day? NADA!

What to write in my blog.
One of my molars, upper-left side really hurts!! Tonight when I was out at the bar it starting hurting. It’s a kind of pain that comes and goes, like if someone was drilling in my tooth at times or so?! Hard to explain! I hope it goes away. Otherwise I’ll have to try and get a last-minute appointment at my dentist’s! Crap. I hate going there.
This morning I had an early class, from 8h30 to 11h30 where we discussed the International Criminal Court. It was interesting!
Then from 12h to 16h I went to work at my (mostly) Summer job. It was really neat seeing my co-workers again, everyone seemed happy to see me too! Yay!
At home I took a nap from 16h30 to 19h30! A nice 3 hours! It was so hard getting up again… I could have maybe slept until tomorrow morning! But I was hungry. So I got up.
And now I’m making dinner. Tonight I told friends/fellow bloggers that I’d join them at some bar they are going to. I will go, but not until too late. I am so tired!
Yay! It’s weekend!
